Shining a spotlight on scholarship: Building and developing your profile in an education-focused career in psychology

On 29th November, 2024, I was super excited to join T-FUN – the Teaching Focused University Network (Psychology) – to talk about education-focused careers in Psychology. T-FUN is an exciting brand new network for teaching-focused psychology academics! The inaugural webinar featured founders Dr Katy Burgess (Cardiff University) and Prof Louise Taylor (Oxford Brookes University), plus little ole me (Nottingham Trent University). My talk was recorded and is featured in full here. It covers my take on what education-focused academics do, what we mean by scholarship (including how we can turn our everyday teaching and other activities into scholarship outputs – BOGOF), and how to build your profile and reputation as an ‘expert’ – along with some questions and answers with the audience.
